Strawberry Ginger Iced Summer Smoothie

Description

Ginger is my favorite Asian root vegetable and I use it in so many recipes, so I had to make a summer drink with it. Here’s a healthy and refreshing summer smoothie with fresh strawberries, flavored with a kick of ginger, lemon and lime.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Fresh Strawberries, Stems Removed, Sliced In Half
  • 1 piece (3 To 4-inch Size) Ginger, Peeled, Sliced Into 1/2-inch Pieces
  • 2 whole Lemons, Juiced
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • 3 Tablespoons Honey
  • 1 cup Water
  • Ice, As Needed

Preparation

Place all ingredients (except ice) in a blender. Blend until smooth. Add a tray of ice and blend again for no more than 5 seconds.

In a large pitcher, add another tray of ice and pour in smoothie.
