Baked oatmeal is a healthy, delicious breakfast that will feed a crowd!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Whole Rolled Oats
- ½ cups Brown Sugar
- 3 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 4 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 whole Apples, Peeled, Cored And Chopped
Preparation
Note: Cut back the calories even more by replacing half of the butter with applesauce.
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a casserole dish or 13×9 baking dish and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Beat in eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla extract. Peel, core and chop apples into small pieces. Add those into the bowl and combine. Pour mixture into a baking dish. Bake uncovered for 30 – 40 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Serve immediately.
