Description

Half lemonade and half ice tea, an “Arnold Palmer” was named after the famous golfer, as he would always order his ice tea this way during The Masters tour. Eventually, they named the drink after him.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE ICED TEA:
  • 1 cup Boiling Water
  • 3 whole Tea Bags, Black Tea (individual Serving Size Bags)
  • 2 cups Ice Water
  • FOR THE LEMONADE:
  • 1 cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (for 1 Cup You’ll Need 3-4 Lemons)
  • ⅓ cups Granulated Sugar (or More To Taste)
  • 3 cups Water, Chilled
  • Lemon Slices Or Lemon Wedges For Serving

Preparation

For the ice tea:
Put the tea bags into the boiled water and let them steep for 1-2 minutes then remove tea bags. Add the ice water into the tea and chill in the refrigerator.

For the lemonade:

Mix the lemon juice, sugar and water together in a pitcher. Stir well to dissolve the sugar then put the pitcher into the refrigerator and allow it to chill. Add additional sugar to sweeten it to you liking if necessary.

For the Arnold Palmers:
Either in a large pitcher, or in individual cups, combine equal parts unsweetened ice tea and prepared lemonade. Taste and add additional sugar if needed. Serve with lemon wedges or lemon slices as a garnish.

Recipe makes six 8-ounce servings.
