Description
Old-fashioned sugar cookies. Theses are baked on a jelly roll pan and cut. Original recipe came from my great aunt’s kitchen many years ago.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cups Milk
- 1 Lemon, Zest And Juice
- 4 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- ¾ teaspoons Salt
- ¾ teaspoons Nutmeg
Preparation
Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add eggs and milk. Add lemon juice and rind.
In another bowl, mix dry ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Spread into a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375ºF for 15 minutes. Cool and cut into cookie size pieces.
