Thank God for the cast iron skillet!
Ingredients
- 4 slices Slices Bacon (I Used Turkey), Cooked Drained And Chopped
- ½ Yellow Onion, Diced And Cooked Over Medium Heat Until Softened
- 1 cup Hash Browns, Cooked According To Package Instructions
- 1-½ cup Egg Whites
- Salt And Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Thyme
- ¼ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325°F and rub the bottom and sides of your 8 or 10 inch cast iron skillet with vegetable oil. Once your bacon, onions and hash browns are prepared and cooked, add them to the skillet and toss together. Add salt, pepper and thyme to egg whites and pour the mixture over the ingredients in the skillet. Sprinkle cheese on top and place in oven. Bake for 25 minutes or until egg whites are completely set. Remove from oven let cool slightly. Slice into 6 pieces.
