Description
Great combination of salty bacon, garlic, cheese and mushrooms. Perfection on a Saturday morning.
Ingredients
- 6 slices Bacon
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 8 dashes Tabasco
- ½ teaspoons Creole Seasoning
- 1 cup Shredded Colby-jack Cheese
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ½ whole Onion, Diced
- 8 ounces, weight Mushrooms, Sliced
- 1 whole Pie Crust
Preparation
1. Cut bacon into ¼-½ inch strips and pan fry on low until crispy. Spoon out bacon onto paper towel and reserve grease in small bowl.
2. Whisk together eggs, milk, Tabasco, seasonings, and cheese in a bowl and set aside.
3. Sauté onions and garlic in 2 tablespoons of bacon grease for about 1 minute on low heat. Add mushrooms and sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
4. Roll out pie crust into a 9 inch pie pan and set aside.
5. Mix bacon and mushroom mixture into egg mixture. Pour into pie crust. Bake on 350 degrees F for an hour or until eggs are no longer jiggly.
