Description

Finally, a homemade appetizer that you can make in multiple batches and feed the whole party! Something about sweet plantains and salty bacon make them the perfect pairing.

Ingredients

  • 3  Sweet Plantains (black Peel, Or Appear Very Ripe)
  • 13 strips Bacon
  • ½ cups Spicy Brown Mustard
  • 4 teaspoons Maple Syrup
  • ¼ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Peel plantains (see post for instructions) and cut 1/2 inch bites diagonally. Slice bacon strips in half.

Wrap one piece of bacon around a piece of plantain and place on baking sheet. Continue until all are wrapped.

Bake for 15 minutes, flip, then bake for another 10 minutes.

While plantains are baking, mix mustard, maple syrup, cinnamon, and garlic powder to create the dip.
