Baked Banana Oatmeal with Strawberries

    Description

    A great alternative to change up your morning bowl of oatmeal.

    Ingredients

    • 1-½ cup Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
    • ½ cups Light Brown Sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
    • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
    • ½ teaspoons Salt
    • Pinch Of Nutmeg
    • ¼ cups Chopped Walnuts (optional)
    • ½ cups Milk
    • 1  Ripe Banana (about 1/2 Cup)
    • 1  Large Egg
    • 2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
    • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
    • ½ cups Fresh Strawberries, Chopped (or Any Preferred Fruit)
    • Milk For Serving (optional)

    Preparation

    Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray an 8″x8″ pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

    In a medium bowl combine rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and optional walnuts; stir until combined. Add in milk, mashed banana, egg, maple syrup and butter and stir until combined well with oatmeal.

    Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until oatmeal is set and when inserted with a tester it comes out clean.

    Serve warm topped with fresh berries or berries and a splash of warm milk.
