Description

Baked Cinnamon Apple Chips are the reason fall was invented. And if that isn’t true, then the fact that they are a delicious paleo snack is.

Ingredients

  • 3  Apples (I Like Rainier Or Granny Smith)
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoons Sea Salt

Preparation

Rinse and core each apple. Using a mandoline, slice each apple (much like you would an onion).

In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice. In a separate dish, combine cinnamon and sea salt. Blend together with a fork to break down any chunks of sea salt. Drizzle cinnamon mixture over the apples and toss by hand until apple slices are evenly coated.

Line baking sheets with parchment paper followed by the apple slices, making sure not to overlap the apples.

Bake at 200ºF for 90 minutes. Turn the apple slices over and bake an additional 90 minutes. Check after 3 hours and bake for up to an additional hour, if desired.

Note: Depending on your oven and how many baking sheets you are using, you may want to rotate your sheets throughout the baking process (or at the end of the first 90 minutes) to ensure an even baking process.
