Description

This awesome Baked Flounder Au Gratin is ready in less than 30 minutes and will have you craving fish on the regular!

Ingredients

  • 4 Flounder Fillets
  • ¼ cups Melted Butter, Divided
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • ⅔ cups Freshly Grated Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • Fresh Parsley Chopped For Garnish

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

Place flounder fillets on a lightly oiled baking dish. Brush fillets with 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

In a small bowl, combine panko bread crumbs, grated cheese, kosher salt, ground black pepper, and thyme. Add the rest of the melted butter to the crumb mixture and mix thoroughly until crumb mixture becomes buttery, crumbly, and golden in color.

Sprinkle crumb mixture over flounder fillets and press the crumb mixture down into the fillets. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork. Use a spatula to carefully transfer the fillets to plates. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
