Thick and juicy baked center-cut pork chops for two. A delightful meal.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces, weight Bone-in Center Cut Pork Chops
- Salt And Black Pepper To Taste
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ¼ cups Low Sodium Vegetable Stock
- ¼ cups Pure Apple Juice
- FOR THE GRAVY:
- ⅓ cups Pan Juices, From Baking Pork Chops
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons Applesauce
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place into an 8 x 8 inch nonstick ovenproof and stovetop-safe baking dish. Add vegetable stock and apple juice. Cover with aluminum foil and bake undisturbed for 40 minutes. Transfer chops to a platter and tent with foil to keep warm.
Pour out pan juices into a 4-cup measuring cup, then transfer 1/3 cup back into the baking dish. Place baking dish on the stove over medium heat. Add corn starch and whisk well. Add applesauce and stir until thickened.
Plate chops and serve with pan gravy.
