Description
Wonderful mild chicken curry.
Ingredients
- 1 whole (about 3.3 Lb. Size) Chicken
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
- 3 Onions, Chopped
- 4 Tomatoes, Chopped
- 1 stick Cinnamon
- 4 Cardamom Pods
- 6 Black Peppercorns
- ½ teaspoons Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon Garlic, Grated
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
- ½ teaspoons Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 3 Tablespoons Plain Yogurt
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- Chopped Coriander Leaves
Preparation
Clean and skin chicken, then cut into 8 pieces. Wash pieces and set aside.
Heat oil in a large pan. Add onions and fry until golden brown. Add tomatoes and spices, including salt. Lower heat and fry everything for about 4 minutes, stirring often.
Add chicken pieces and stir-fry until spices have penetrated the meat and chicken begins to get some color, about 7 minutes. Add yogurt, stir well, cover pan and cook on low for about 15–20 minutes or until meat is cooked through. Stir occasionally to make sure food doesn’t stick to the pan.
Add lemon juice, some more salt if necessary, and chopped coriander. Serve.
