Description

A healthier take on banana pancakes made with ground old fashioned oats. Very easy to whip together and also pretty interchangeable if you don’t have a certain ingredient on hand, such as using honey in place of raw agave. This can also be used for waffles. This recipe makes 4-6 pancakes depending on how big you want your cakes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Old Fashioned Oats, Ground
  • ½ cups Old Fashioned Oats, Unground
  • ¼ cups Flour – Your Choice, I Use Whole Wheat Or Just Plain White, Whatever I Have On Hand
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 dash Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1  Ripe Banana, Mashed
  • 1  Egg
  • 1 rack Organic Raw Agave
  • 1  Splash Of Vanilla
  • 1 cup Non Dairy Milk, Such As Silk Or Almond Milk, Plain Or Vanilla Flavor
  • 1  Handful Mini Chocolate Chips, Optional

Preparation

Spray your griddle or pan with cooking spray and get the pan nice and hot. Like one would normally do for pancakes. In a large bowl, whisk all the ingredients together. When your pan is good and hot, use a ladle and spoon the batter onto the griddle. I am sure you all know the basics to pancake making. When the edges look golden and lots of little bubbles start forming in the cakes, flip them over. Once they are done, butter em’ up and drizzle with syrup, agave, or honey. This recipe made 6 medium sized pancakes. Dig in and enjoy!
