Cooling, soothing drink that’s both easy yet so sweet and flavourful.
Ingredients
- ¾ cups Barley, Washed And Drained
- 8 whole Water Chestnuts, Peeled
- 6 whole Jujube (Red Dates)
- 2 stalks Pandan Leaves
- ½ cups Sugar (Or 2-3 Blocks Rock Sugar), Or To Taste
- 5 cups Water
Preparation
Place everything into a stock pot and add in water. Bring to a boil. Cover, leaving the lid slightly ajar, and let simmer for about 30 minutes.
There are 2 serving options:
1. Strain everything and drink just the liquids.
2. Serve it with the barley and water chestnut.
Recommendation: Add a squeeze of lime or lemon for a more refreshing flavour.
