Description

A great snack any time of the year. Sweet, crusted cashews are sure to be hit especially this time of year. Simple, quick, and tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Egg White, Beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Ice Cold Water
  • 2 cups Whole Cashews
  • ¾ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 pinch Salt To Taste

Preparation

Note: The trick to getting that candied effect on the nuts is the egg white. It adds the awesome crunch and serves as the glue for the seasoning.

Preheat oven to 250ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Beat egg white and water in a bowl until nice and frothy. Add nuts to the bowl, along with sugar and spices, and mix very well.

Lay nuts evenly on the baking sheet and place in preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until everything begins to caramelize and get nice and toasted. Once that is achieved, remove from oven and slide those nuts into a serving bowl. Let cool for about 5 minutes (if you can resist), and dig in.
