    Best Chai Ever! Best I’ve ever tasted

    Ingredients

    • 1 Tablespoon Fennel Seed
    • 6 whole Green Cardamom Pods, Crushed Coarsely
    • 12 whole Cloves
    • 6 whole Black Peppercorns
    • 1 stick Cinnamon
    • 1 piece Fresh Ginger Root, About 1″, Sliced Thickly
    • 2 whole Bay Leaves
    • 7 cups Water
    • 6 bags Tea – Either Darjeeling Or Assam
    • 1 cup Vanilla Soy Milk
    • 5 Tablespoons Sweetener: Honey, Agave Nectar, Sugar, Etc. Or To Taste

    Preparation

    Best Chai Ever

    Boil the following spices on low, for 30-45 minutes, then steep 10 minutes:

    1 TB fennel seed
    6 green cardamom pods, crushed coarsely
    12 cloves
    6 black peppercorns
    1 cinnamon stick
    1/2″ to 1″ fresh ginger root, thickly sliced
    2 bay leaves
    7 cups water

    When done with the above, add 6 tea bags (remove the tea from the bags) of Darjeeling tea or Assam tea. Bring to a boil and simmer for five minutes.

    Take pan off heat and add 1 cup of vanilla soy milk and 5 TB honey, raw sugar, or other sweetener. (or to taste). Mix well.
    Strain and drink….yum!!!
