Ingredients

  • 1 pound Flank Steak, Cut Into Strips
  • ¼ cups Teriyaki Sauce (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Divided
  • ⅓ cups Soy Sauce
  • ⅔ cups Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • ½ teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Broccoli Cut Into Florets
  • 1 whole Small Yellow Onion, Cut Into Wedges
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice
  • 2 Tablespoons Peanuts, Crushed

Preparation

1. Marinate beef in teriyaki and half of the garlic for a few hours or overnight (optional).
2. In a small bowl, mix remaining garlic with soy sauce, water, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
3. Heat oil in large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add steak. Cook until just browned.
4. Add broccoli and onions. Cook until tender.
5. Add sauce. Cook until thickened.
6. Serve over rice and top with crushed peanuts.
