Looking for a great cocktail for your next party? Try setting up a great Bloody Mary bar complete with an ultimate Bloody Mary mix, Old Bay for your glass rims and some amazing garnishes!
Ingredients
- FOR THE BLOODY MARY MIX:
- 3 cups Tomato Juice
- ¾ teaspoons Dry Dill Weed
- ¾ teaspoons White Pepper
- ¾ teaspoons Celery Seed
- 6 pinches Smoked Salt Or Sea Salt
- 12 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- 12 dashes Hot Sauce
- 3 ounces, fluid Elixir Juice (any Combination Of Pickle Or Olive Brine That You Have On Hand)
- 1-½ Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 4 teaspoons Prepared Horseradish
- FOR MAKING THE COCKTAILS:
- 2 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 6 ounces, fluid Mezcal
- 6 stalks Celery, Small
- Optional Garnishes (see Note For Recommendations)
- Lemon Wedges, For Rubbing On The Rim Of Your Glass
- Ice, To Fill Cocktail Shaker
Preparation
Sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning on a plate. Rub the rim of your serving glasses with a lemon wedge and dip rim into the Old Bay seasoning to coat it. Set aside.
Next, make your Bloody Mary mix. In a quart sized mason jar, add the Bloody Mary mix ingredients. Replace lid and shake.
Then you are ready to assemble the cocktails. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour about 6 ounces of mix and 2 ounces of Mezcal over the ice. Put the lid on. Shake gently and pour the entire mixture (including ice) into a rimmed glass. Repeat with remaining cocktails.
Garnish with celery, lemon wedge and remaining garnishes of your choice. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes:
1. Serve Bloody Mary’s with a selection of garnishes such as crispy cooked thick cut bacon, pepperoni chunks, smoked Gouda, mini hot dill pickles. garlic stuffed olives, blue cheese stuffed olives and marinated mozzarella. Place cups of garnish picks on the table so that guests can assemble their garnishes of choice.
2. You could also prepare the picks ahead of time and create a variety of pre-assembled garnish picks for your guests to choose from.
3. Mix can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
