Description

Oats, almonds and flax sweetened with pure maple syrup and slowly roasted with dried blueberries provide a fresh and fun variety to your morning granola routine.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1 cup Quick Oats
  • ⅔ cups Milled (ground) Flaxseed
  • ½ cups Slivered Almonds
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ½ cups Pure Maple Syrup
  • 3 Tablespoons Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Dried Sweetened Blueberries

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 250 F. Combine oats, flax seed, almonds and cinnamon in a large bowl.
2. In a smaller bowl, add syrup, applesauce, and vanilla and mix well.
3. Drizzle the sauce over the oat mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
4. Stir in dried blueberries.
5. Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and spread into an even layer. Bake for 80 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes or so. Remove from oven.
6. Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Enjoy!
