It may not be diet food, but this casserole has all the fixings of the classic hotdish: cheese, cream of chicken soup, and a frozen vegetable. Broccoli cheese hotdish is comfort food at its best, and it’s a perfect addition to any party or potluck you may find yourself at this holiday season.
Ingredients
- 2 cans (10.5 Oz) Condensed Cream Of Chicken Soup
- ⅔ cups Milk
- 1 jar (15.5 Oz) Cheese Whiz
- 2 packages (14.5 Oz) Frozen Broccoli Florets, Thawed
- 2 cups Cooked Rice (any Kind You’d Like)
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoons Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoons Paprika
- ½ cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Stir together the two cans of cream of chicken soup in a large pot over medium-high heat. Whisk in milk and Cheese Whiz until smooth. Add broccoli and cooked rice, then add the black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for 5 minutes, or until broccoli is heated through.
Spoon the mixture into a glass 9 x 13″ baking dish and top with paprika and optional shredded cheddar.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, and serve warm.
