Simple and delicious brown sugar glazed meatloaf.
Ingredients
- FOR THE MEATLOAF:
- ½ cups Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- Oil, As Needed
- ½ cups Beef Stock
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
- ½ cups Ketchup
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- ½ teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley
- FOR THE BROWN SUGAR GLAZE:
- ¼ cups Brown Sugar
- ¼ cups Black Coffee
- ⅛ cups Soy Sauce
- ¼ cups Honey Whiskey
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- ½ cups Ketchup
Preparation
Dice onions and minced garlic. In a medium heated pan, add oil and saute onions and garlic for 3 minutes.
Mix beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, beaten egg, and pepper in a bowl. Add ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onions, and garlic into the mix.
In a baking dish, baked meat mixture for 1 1/2 hours at 350ºF or until internal temperature reaches 160ºF.
In a pan over low heat, combine glaze ingredients and reduce until thick and glossy. Brush glaze on meatloaf the last 15 minutes of baking.
