Description
Delicious, juicy, crispy baked chicken drumsticks without all the oil. Makes a nice supper option!
Ingredients
- 1-¼ cup Buttermilk
- ½ teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Onion Salt
- 8 whole Chicken Drumsticks
- ¾ cups Panko Or Other Fine Breadcrumbs
- 3 Tablespoons Melted Sweet Cream Butter
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400ºF.
In a large mixing bowl. add buttermilk, pepper, and onion salt. Mix together. Add chicken, stir so that chicken is evenly coated, and set aside to marinate.
In a small bowl, add panko or breadcrumbs and melted butter, stir with a fork to mix.
Transfer chicken and marinade to a 9×12 nonstick baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the top. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes to crisp up the top.
We love this with wild rice and a vegetable side dish. Enjoy!
