Great fresh summer appetizer to add to the menu when cooking out. Great healthier alternative compared to traditional appetizers.
Ingredients
- 1 pint Grape Tomatoes
- 8 ounces, weight Fresh Mini Low-fat Mozzarella Balls
- 1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
- 4 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
Preparation
Slice grape tomatoes in half. Slice mozzarella balls in half. Assemble skewers by placing a toothpick into center of a tomato half, cut side up. Skewer a fresh basil leaf on, then finish off with a mozzarella slice, cut side down. Either drizzle balsamic vinegar over tomatoes or serve on the side in a small dipping bowl.
