Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 1 whole White Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • ½ teaspoons Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Sage
  • 4 ounces, weight Crumbled Pork Sausage
  • ¼ cups Grated Pepper Jack Cheese
  • ½ cups Smoked Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
  • Bread Or Pita Chips, To Serve

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF. Grease an oval or square baking dish and set aside.

In a skillet over medium heat, add butter, canola oil and sliced onions. Cook until onions start to turn golden, then reduce heat and cook another 15 minutes or until caramelized. Add cumin and sage, and stir well. Add crumbled sausage and cook, stirring, until no longer pink.

Transfer into prepared oven dish and smooth out with a spatula. Top with cheeses and bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Serve with bread slices or pita chips.
