Chicken & Broccoli Stir Fry

Description

A tasty take-out style Chinese chicken dinner that you can make at home in less than 30 minutes! This low-sodium meal makes for a healthier eat-in choice that everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons Oil, Divided
  • 4 pieces Chicken Fillets
  • 2 cups Crimini Mushrooms
  • 1 head Broccoli
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • ½ cups Soy Sauce (reduced Sodium)
  • 1 Tablespoon Agave, Brown Sugar Or Honey
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth, Low-Sodium
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds, For Garnish (optional)

Preparation

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large casserole or frying pan. Add chicken and cook for about 10 minutes or until browned. Remove chicken from pan and set aside.

In the same pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and add mushrooms. Cook for 3–5 minutes. Add broccoli and cook for 6–8 minutes or until fork tender. Remove mushrooms and broccoli and set aside.

Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar or agave and chicken broth and mix. Stir in flour slowly and mix until smooth.

Return the chicken, mushroom and broccoli to the pan, stir to combine with sauce. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir fry and serve over rice or noddles.
