Get into the fall season with this Chicken with Pear Sauce! Its sweet and savory flavor combination is delicious and won’t break the calorie bank.
Ingredients
- 2 whole Chicken Breasts, Boneless, Skinless
- 1 Tablespoon Poultry Seasoning
- 1-¼ cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth, Divided
- ¼ cups Sweet Yellow Onion, Diced
- Pepper
- 1 Ripe Pear, Diced
- ½ Tablespoons Butter
- 2 teaspoons Parsley
Preparation
In a medium pan, add chicken breast and season with poultry seasoning. Cook over medium heat, adding up to 3/4 cup of chicken broth if the pan gets too dry. Once they are almost done at 163ºF, remove from pan.
Add 1/2 cup of chicken broth to the pan, still over heat. Use a spoon to stir up all the brown bits. Add onions and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. Add pears and butter. Cook for another 3 minutes.
Return chicken to pan and cook 2 more minutes. Serve with parsley sprinkled on top.
