Description
Walnuts tossed in maple syrup, cinnamon and cayenne pepper, then toasted on the stovetop. Use to top salads, add to baked goods, or just a plain old healthy snack!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Walnuts
- 2 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
Preparation
Place walnuts in a bowl. Pour maple syrup over walnuts and toss. Add cinnamon and cayenne pepper, and toss until evenly coated.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add walnuts to dry skillet and allow to cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, around 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 more minutes.
