Description
A staple in our pantry. Delicious on yogurt or in a bowl with milk. My kids prefer it as a sweet snack.
Ingredients
- 3 cups Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- ½ cups Wheat Germ
- ¼ cups Milled Flax Seed
- 1 cup Almonds, Whole Or Sliced
- 1 cup Sweetened, Flaked Coconut
- ½ cups Brown Sugar
- ½ cups Honey
- ½ cups Canola Oil
- 1-½ teaspoon Coconut Flavoring
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325ºF. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or a baking mat.
In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, milled flax, almonds and coconut.
In a smaller bowl, mix remaining ingredients and pour over dry ingredients. Stir until evenly coated.
Spread granola on sheet pan and bake for about 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Stir every 10-15 minutes. Watch carefully the last 5 minutes to prevent over-browning. Cool completely.
Break into chunks and store in an airtight container.
Lasts for several weeks in the pantry.
