Description

This is the best banana bread I have ever made! My grandpa showed me this recipe and I love it. What makes it unique? Sour cream!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 whole Very Ripe Bananas
  • 1 stick Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • ½ cups Sour Cream
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ cups Chopped Pecans (or Walnuts)

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Butter and flour a loaf pan (I suggest using Pam baking spray).

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

In a small bowl, mash the bananas with a fork and leave the bananas slightly chunky.

In another large bowl, use a mixer to cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time. Stir in the bananas, sour cream and vanilla and stir until just combined.

Add the dry ingredients and add chopped pecans or walnuts. Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 70 minutes.

Enjoy!
