    Description

    Hot cocoa made from scratch.

    Ingredients

    • 2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
    • 3 Tablespoons White Sugar
    • 1 pinch Salt
    • 2 Tablespoons Boiling Water
    • 1-¾ cup Milk
    • ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
    • ¼ cups Half-and-half

    Preparation

    1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa, sugar, and salt.
    2. Add boiling water.
    3. Bring mixture to an easy boil while stirring with a whisk.
    4. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes.
    5. Stir in milk and heat until hot, but do not boil.
    6. Remove from heat and add vanilla and cream.
