Description

Crockpot Apple Cider is simple, delicious, and full of fall flavor! Plus it makes your home smell amazing all day long!

Ingredients

  • 9 whole Apples (of Different Varieties), Washed And Cut Into Quarters
  • 1 whole Orange, Peeled And Cut Into Quarters
  • ⅓ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 5 cups Water
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves

Preparation

Place chopped apples, orange, brown sugar, water, cinnamon and cloves in a slow cooker. Use enough water so that fruit is submerged in the crockpot. Cover and set to low for 6 to 7 hours.

After 6 or 7 hours, strain cider through a wire strainer, pressing mixture into strainer slightly. Discard any remaining solids. Strain cider again through a very fine mesh (like a cheese cloth), stirring to allow more liquid to pass through the cloth.

Save remaining solids as this is your applesauce! Place the cider and apple sauce is serving dishes.

Store the cider in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

Note: Cheese cloths can be purchased at kitchen specialty stores or even at your local Target or Walmart! They usually are around $2 to $3.
