Description

Easy Crockpot Shredded Chicken. Almost zero effort and you still end up with moist shredded chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2-½ cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 pounds Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts (fresh Or Frozen, See Note)
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation

If using frozen chicken, set crockpot on High and pour in chicken broth. Cover with the lid and let broth come to a simmer (approximately 20-25 minutes). See note if chicken is not frozen.

Turn crockpot heat to Low and toss in the boneless chicken breasts, salt and pepper. Cook on Low for 5-6 hours or on High for 3-4 hours. Make sure the inner chicken temperature reaches 165 F. Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred. Shredding is easily done with with two forks.

Use the chicken within 6 days or freeze leftovers in an airtight container.

Note: If you are using fresh chicken breasts go ahead and skip step 1 and place chicken breasts right in with the chicken broth and seasoning.
