Description
This snack is fun for kids to make.
Ingredients
- 1 whole Long Cucumber, Rinsed Only
- 1 strip Carrot
- 11 whole Mini Cheese Sausages
- 22 whole Cheese Dices
- 35 whole Grapes, Rinsed
- 2 whole Cloves, Dried
Preparation
Using a knife or a vegetable peeler, cut 1 or 2 long thin strips (lengthwise) of the cucumber. This will help the cucumber sit stably on the plate. The cut-off strips will be used to make the legs of the crocodile.
For the jaws, cut the cucumber lengthwise in the middle to about 1/4 to 1/3 of its length. For the crocodile’s teeth, carve small triangles on both jaws using a small knife.
For the tongue, cut a long strip from the carrot using a vegetable peeler. Simply put the strip in between the jaws.
For the back, take a toothpick and poke it through the sausage, and then the grape. Stick the toothpick with the sausage side into the crocodile back. Repeat 10 times.
For the sides, take a toothpick and poke it through the diced cheese, and then a grape. Stick the toothpick with the cheese side into the crocodile side. Repeat 10 times. Then do the same for the opposite side.
For the eyes, take a toothpick, cut it in half and poke it through the grape. Then insert a clove. Stick the toothpick with the grape side at the end of the crocodile jaw where the eyes should be. Repeat for the second eye.
For the legs, use leftover cucumber strips to form 4 legs and place them under the sides of the crocodile.
