Description

Your usual bowl of breakfast oats gets a makeover and turns into a decadent dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Unsweetened Coconut Milk
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 1 cup Gluten Free Oats
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cups Shredded Coconut
  • 2 Tablespoons Dried Cherries
  • 2 Tablespoons Dark Chocolate Chunks Or Chips
  • Optional Toppings And Add-ins (optional)

Preparation

In a small pot over medium heat, add coconut milk and salt and bring to a simmer.

Add oatmeal and reduce heat to medium low. Stir often and cook oatmeal for about 10 minutes until oats are tender and liquid has cooked down.

Stir in brown sugar and shredded coconut, then transfer the oats to a bowl and garnish with the cherries and chocolate.

Feel free to add any favorite toppings and add-ins, such as:
chopped fresh fruit like strawberries or mangoes
chopped toasted walnuts, almonds or pistachios
white chocolate chips
peanut butter or almond butter
fresh berries
