Diabetic Friendly Hot Chocolate

    Description

    This is the only way I can enjoy hot chocolate nowadays, and enjoy it I do!

    Ingredients

    • 6 ounces, fluid Milk Or Water
    • 1 Tablespoon Cocoa Powder
    • 1 Tablespoon Xylitol Sugar

    Preparation

    (I found the recommended 4 Tablespoons cocoa mix per 6 ounces of liquid on most canisters was just too much.)

    Heat up your milk or water. I do it in the microwave for 1 minute or less for milk, then add the cocoa powder and xylitol, stir, then relax and enjoy!

    When I use my big coffee mugs, I add more of the cocoa/xylitol mix but you have to do it to your taste. Xylitol is supposed to be used less because its much sweeter but when I use equal parts, it’s just perfect. Mmm.

    An alternate version is to use hot water, add cocoa and Xylitol and cream or half-and-half to taste. The milk seems to make all the difference between yummy and merely passable.
