Ingredients

  • 2 slices Duck Breast
  • Salt And Pepper
  • Cayenne Pepper To Taste
  • 100 milliliters Chicken Broth
  • 2 teaspoons Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Wine
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 whole Chili Pepper

Preparation

Heat oven to 200ºC (390ºF). Massage duck with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper.

Pour some oil in an oven-safe frying pan and heat oil. Fry duck, skin-side down, for 5 minutes. Flip and fry an additional minute.

Transfer the pan to the oven and continue cooking until duck is ready. To check if it is done, use a meat thermometer or test by piercing the meat with a knife or wooden stick. Tent with foil.

Drain the fat from frying. Add broth and remaining ingredients, mix well, and increase heat to high to bring mixture to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes until sauce thickens.

When ready to serve, slice duck and pour sauce over.
