This family favorite recipe is a delicious and complete 25-minute meal, perfect for your busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Barilla Pronto Penne
- 3 cups Water
- 1 head (small) Broccoli, Separated Into Florets
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 pound Grass Fed Ground Beef
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 1 cup Shredded Italian Blend Cheese, Divided
- 1 jar (24 Oz. Size) Pasta Sauce
- Cilantro For Garnish
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
In a large oven safe skillet, add pasta and water. Make sure there is enough water in the pan to cover the pasta. Cook for about 7 minutes then add broccoli florets. Cook for an additional 3 minutes or until most of the water is absorbed.
Meanwhile in a separate pan, heat oil and brown the meat. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add ground beef to the pasta dish and mix. Add about ½ cup of shredded cheese. Pour sauce over the beef and pasta and top with remaining shredded cheese.
Cover and bake for about 8 minutes, until cheese has melted. The sauce should be bubbling heated through. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh cilantro and serve.
