Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Beef Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Ginger
  • 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 pound Flank Steak, Sliced Thinly Across The Grain
  • 4 cups Broccoli Florets
  • 1 cup Shredded Carrots

Preparation

In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger and garlic. Set aside.

In a large wok or non-stick skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add sliced steak to the pan and cook for 3–4 minutes, flipping once, until browned all over. Add the prepared sauce and broccoli and stir to coat everything. Continue to cook for another 3–4 minutes until broccoli is tender and sauce has thickened slightly. If you have a lid, you can cover it and just leave it for about 3 minutes and it will be done.

Stir in the grated carrots and heat for about 30 seconds. Serve over hot rice.
