Description
All you need is a food processor and some chickpeas to turn into easy peasy hummus.
Ingredients
- 250 grams Canned Chickpeas, Drained And Rinsed, Divided
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons Tahini Paste
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 50 milliliters Olive Oil, Plus More For Drizzling
- 4 Tablespoons Water, Or As Needed (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Paprika Powder, For Garnish
- 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley, For Garnish
Preparation
Set 10 to 15 whole chickpeas aside for garnish.
Add remaining chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice and tahini into a food processor and start processing. Add some salt and pepper to taste if you want (not necessary).
After about 2 minutes, add half of the olive oil and process again for about 2 minutes. Add remaining olive oil and process. If hummus is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water and process. Check the consistency and if needed, add another 2 tablespoons of water and process.
Sprinkle paprika and dried parsley for garnish. Add reserved whole chickpeas on top of the hummus. Drizzle some olive oil on top before serving.
