Made on pita bread, these pizzas are super easy, light, and incredibly delicious! A great way to enjoy pizza in a healthier way.
Ingredients
- 4 Greek Style Pitas (I Use Whole Wheat)
- CLASSIC STYLE PIZZA
- 7-½ ounces, fluid Pizza Sauce (may Not Use It All)
- 16 Sliced Pepperonis (Approx 8 Per Pizza)
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (approx. 1 Cup Per Pizza)
- 2 Tablespoons Shredded Parmesan For Garnish (1 Tablespoon Each Pizza)
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Oregano, Chopped (1 Tablespoon Each Pizza)
- CHICKEN & SPINACH STYLE
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil (1 Tablespoon Per Pizza)
- 2 Tablespoons Capers (1 Tablespoon Per Pizza)
- ½ cups Roasted Red Peppers, Sliced (divide Between 2 Pizzas)
- 16 leaves Baby Spinach (approx. 8 Per Pizza)
- 1 cup Sliced Chicken Breast (divided Among Two Pizzas)
- ½ cups Mozzarella Cheese (divided Between 2 Pizzas)
- ½ cups Crumbled Feta Cheese (divided Between 2 Pizzas)
- 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan For Garnish (1 Tablespoon Each Pizza)
- Cracked Black Pepper
Preparation
NOTES: Ingredient measurements, portions and instructions are based on 4 pita pizzas, 2 of each kind.
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Prepare the pizzas and set aside until oven is fully heated. (For the white pizza, I do suggest putting the spinach onto the oiled pita first.)
Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and pitas have slightly browned.
