Description
Baked cobblers are always a hit for dessert. This peach delight is quick and easy to put together. I hope you will try it!
Ingredients
- 2 cans (29 Oz. Size) Sliced Peaches, Drained, But Save The Juice
- Brown Sugar To Taste, To Sprinkle Over Top
- 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 sticks Margarine, Softened
Preparation
Spray a 9 x 13″ pan with non-stick coating. Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Pour drained peaches into the pan, sprinkle lightly with brown sugar and set aside.
In another bowl, combine the self-rising flour, granulated sugar and softened margarine and mix. Pour peach juice into the flour mixture a little at a time and continue mixing.
Next, pour flour mixture over the prepared peaches and bake at 350 F for 45 minutes or until top of cobbler is golden brown. Best served warm with a little ice cream!
Notes:
1. I cut down on the sugar. I used 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 cup splenda. (optional)
2. To half this recipe: use a 9 x 9″ pan, half the amount of ingredients and bake at 350 F for about 30 minutes.
