Ingredients
- 4 whole Medium Tart Apples
- 4 whole Pears
- ⅔ cups Brown Sugar
- ¾ cups Flour
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- ½ cups Butter
Preparation
Heat oven to 375ºF. Butter an 8 x 8 baking dish. Peel and thinly slice apples and pears; arrange in prepared dish.
In a large bowl, place brown sugar. Add flour, oats, and spices. Cut in butter with a fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Sprinkle evely over apples and pears.
Bake at 375ºF for 30 minutes or until fruit is fork-tender. Serve with ice cream or cream if desired.
