A no-fuss recipe of a classic Italian dish!
Ingredients
- 1-½ pound Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, Trimmed Of Fat
- 3 cups Thick And Chunky Style Meatless Spaghetti Sauce (Homemade Or Store-bought)
- ¾ cups Water
- 1 Small Yellow Onion, Chopped
- 1 Medium Green Bell Pepper, Sliced Into Strips
- Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper, To Taste
- 1 cup Fresh Sliced Mushrooms
- Pasta, For Serving
Preparation
Place chicken in bottom of lightly sprayed crockpot. Pour spaghetti sauce over. Pour water into jar and swish around to get remaining sauce out and pour into crockpot as well. Place onion and bell pepper in and season with salt and pepper. Stir just a bit to cover everything.
Cook for 5 hours on low. After 5 hours, place mushrooms in and stir slightly. Cover back up and cook for an additional hour on low. Serve immediately with your favorite pasta.
