Description
Or maybe it’s a quiche? Whatever it is, my new invention at least tastes pretty good. It got a thumbs up, with a mouthful of “mmms” from my 4 oldest kids, and hubby asks for it all the time.
Ingredients
- 1 whole Uncooked Pie Crust
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese Of Choice, I Prefer Cheddar
- 4 whole Eggs
- ¾ cups Milk
- 1-½ Tablespoon Onion Chip Dip (or Onion Flakes Mixed With Sour Cream)
- ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 cup Cut-up Leftover Meat Such As Bacon, Ham, Etc. (for This One I Used Kielbasa Sausage)
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
Preparation
Preaheat oven to 400ºF. Line a pie plate with dough, trimming it just over the edge.
In a medium bowl, whisk eggs with milk. Add in remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared pie crust.
Fold the edges of the pie crust over the mixture. I do this to prevent burning of the crust, and it helps contain the “insides” from overflowing while baking.
Bake for 40–50 minutes, until set in the center.
This is delicious served hot from the oven. I hope you like it as much as my family does. (We have 6 kids and it’s kid approved, especially when done with bacon.)
