Description
A creamy, thick, vegan, gluten-free chocolaty hot chocolate made with dairy-free eggnog, coconut milk and spices.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- ½ teaspoons Cornstarch
- ½ teaspoons Stevia (or Sub 2 Tablespoons Sugar For The 1/2 Teaspoon Stevia)
- ¼ teaspoons Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
- 2 cups Eggnog (I Used Dairy Free)
- 1 cup Coconut Milk From Carton (Do Not Use Canned) Or Milk Of Choice
- 1 ounce, fluid Rum (omit For Kid-free Version)
- 1 dash Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Preparation
Into a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, add all your ingredients, except the rum and nutmeg. Whisk constantly until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and whisk in rum. Pour into 3 mugs. Top with freshly grated nutmeg and whipped cream if desired.
