Description
This is the first recipe I created when I tried to stop drinking diet soda. I wanted something fizzy and sweet, but without the chemicals. I had heard loads about Stevia, and was excited to start experimenting with it!
Ingredients
- 2 cups Frozen Mixed Berries
- 1 cup Water
- 2 teaspoons Stevia
- 2 cups Club Soda
Preparation
Put the berries, water, and stevia into a pot over medium-high heat. Simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Blend with stick blender and then pass through a fine sieve, into a container. Chill. When the berry sauce has cooled down, put about 1/4 cup of it into a glass with a few ice cubes and top with club soda or Perrier. It really is a perfect chemical-free alternative to the usual soda!!
* You can do this with pretty much any frozen berry, or fruit. I’ve done this with 1/2 berry and 1/2 mango.
