Description

Sunny and bright margaritas made with fresh pineapple and lime juice.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP:
  • ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ¼ cups Water
  • FOR THE MARGARITAS:
  • 3 cups Chopped Fresh Pineapple
  • 1 cup Fresh Lime Juice (for 1 Cup You’ll Need About 8 Limes)
  • ½ cups Silver Tequila
  • ¼ cups Orange Liqueur (I Used Grand Marnier)
  • ¼ cups Simple Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Coarse Salt
  • Sliced Lime Wedges, For Serving

Preparation

For the simple syrup: Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar has dissolved. Set aside and allow to cool.

For the margaritas: Place the pineapple in a blender and pulse until combined. Add the lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and listed amount of simple syrup and blend until completely mixed.

Combine the sugar and salt on a plate or shallow dish. Cut lime into wedges and rub the rims of your serving glasses with 1 lime wedge. Dip rims of glasses in sugar-salt mixture.

Serve margaritas over ice and garnish with lime wedge if desired. Enjoy!
