Description
For all of my fellow garlic fans out there, you’re gonna love this Garlic Lemon Chicken! I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t love lemon, but I do love this recipe.
The garlic is definitely the star flavor here. I even toned it down by only using 4 cloves. You can certainly add more if you’d like.
Ingredients
- 3 pieces (about 6 Oz. Size) Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 3 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
- 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
- ⅔ cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- ½ Lemon, Half The Zest And Sliced Thick (1 Slice For Each Chicken Breast)
- 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Salted Butter
Preparation
In a large saute pan, add chicken breast and season with poultry seasoning. Add garlic and cook over medium heat. When one side has browned, flip and sprinkle lemon zest over each piece. Cook until chicken reaches about 158ºF and remove from pan, using up to 1/3 of the chicken broth if the bottom of the pan starts looking a little burnt.
The pan will have brown bits left in the bottom. Those are really flavorful. Pour remaining chicken broth in an mix it with the brown bits until there is nothing left on the bottom of the pan. Turn heat to low and add lemon slices, Italian seasoning and butter. Simmer over low heat for about 5–7 minutes.
Add the chicken back in and turn it a couple times to make sure the sauce covers all of it. Remove pan from heat and let sit for a couple minutes before serving.
