Description

Such a creamy and thick oatmeal. Definitely one of my favorites. Originally from Austria, but I’ll show you the Bavarian version with bananas in it!

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal
  • ⅓ cups Water
  • 1 whole Apple
  • 1 whole Pear
  • 1 whole Banana
  • ⅔ cups Plain Yogurt – Fat Free
  • ½ cups Hazelnuts, Chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey For Topping, Optional

Preparation

Soak oats in water overnight.

The next morning, chop all your fruit into really small pieces. Add fruit and yogurt to soaked oats.

In a small sauce pan over high heat, roast nuts (no oil or cooking spray required) until they start to smell really nice (about 5 minutes). Let cool a little bit, then add to your oatmeal.

Put back in the fridge for another 30 minutes so that the flavors can soak through. Drizzle some honey on top if you like and enjoy!
