Description
Figs have always seemed like a fancy fruit to me. Make them even fancier by grilling them and serving them with an orange-infused honey!
From Natalie Perry of Perry’s Plate.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Fresh Figs
- ¼ cups Honey
- ½ teaspoons Orange Zest
- ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Preparation
Preheat the grill to high heat.
Slice figs in half and spray the insides with nonstick spray. Place the fig halves on the hot grill, cut-side down. Grill, uncovered, for 2–3 minutes or until they are warm and grill marks have formed.
Meanwhile, place honey in a small skillet with the orange zest and vanilla extract. Heat gently, over medium-low heat until the honey has loosened up and the mixture is warm. Set aside.
Serve the figs with a drizzle of honey
